Playing safely

Responsible Play

Brick Drop Competitions is committed to keeping every entry enjoyable, affordable and firmly within your control.

Skill-based competitions

Play for fun, not pressure

Brick Drop Competitions are skill-based prize competitions and are not classified as gambling under UK law. Every entry requires you to answer a skill question correctly before your entry is confirmed.

That said, we take responsible play seriously and want everyone who enters our competitions to do so in a way that stays fun, affordable and firmly within their control.

Staying in control

Simple habits that keep it enjoyable

Set a budget

Decide how much you are comfortable spending each month before you start entering.

Take regular breaks

Do not spend long stretches browsing or entering competitions.

Never chase a loss

If you do not win, do not keep entering in an attempt to win it back.

Only spend what you can afford

Entries should come from disposable income, never money needed for essentials.

Keep it fun

If entering competitions stops feeling enjoyable, it is time to take a break.

Need a break?

Step away for as long as you need

If you would like to step away from entering competitions for a while, contact us and we will happily pause or close your account for as long as you need — 24 hours, a week, a month or permanently. No questions asked.

Email us at support@brickdropcomps.co.uk and we will sort it straight away.

Warning signs

Know when it is time to stop

It is worth considering a break if you find yourself:

  • Regularly spending more than you originally planned to
  • Borrowing money to enter competitions
  • Feeling anxious or stressed when you are not able to enter
  • Hiding your spending from family or friends
  • Letting work, responsibilities or relationships slip because of time spent entering
  • Entering competitions to escape problems or relieve difficult feelings
  • Needing to spend more to get the same enjoyment as before
